The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and other news outlets to stay on top of recalls, public health alerts, and company announcements that may affect the food and kitchen products you encounter on a daily basis.
There are currently several ongoing recalls on food and kitchen products, including fruit sold at Walmart and a recall on sprouts potentially contaminated with Salmonella and E. coli. Here are the recalls you need to know about this week to keep your family safe.
Panorama Produce Mangoes
According to an Aug. 29 FDA announcement, Panorama Produce recalled 302 boxes of size 9 mangoes distributed under the brand name Martina because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled mangoes were distributed to select Walmart stores in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania beginning on Aug. 10 through Aug. 21, 2026.
The recalled individual mangoes can be identified by a light blue sticker with the label Agrofepac, Produce of Mexico, and a PLU number of 4584 and UPC # 07503061948050.
Kofinas Olive Oil
Kofinas Olive Oil, in coordination with the FDA, issued a voluntary recall of its Garlic Mediterranean infused extra virgin olive oil because it uses a garlic essential oil that is not approved for culinary use.
The flavored oil was bottled in glass bottles in 500-milliliter, 250-milliliter, and 100-milliliter bottles. The recalled oil was available for sale from Aug. 31, 2025, to Aug. 27, 2026 at the following locations:
- Montgomery Store & Infusion Kitchen: 8210 Market Place Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45242
- Findlay Market: 1801 Race Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202
The oil was also available for direct sale online at www.kofinasoliveoil.com.
Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts
The Better Bakehouse Snack Company has recalled certain lots of Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts because they may contain undeclared milk. Those individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious and even life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these donuts.
This recall is limited to specific lots of the donuts that were manufactured and distributed in March 2026. The recalled Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts were distributed to retailers nationwide and through Amazon.com.
The recalled donuts can be identified by the following information:Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts, 10 Mini Donuts, packaged in a 7.05-ounce carton containing five 1.41-ounce (40 gram) pouches, with UPC 3 50041 39210 3. The recalled donuts have the “Best If Used By” date Sept. 15, 2026 andlot code 26078.
Everything Sprouts Alfalfa Sprouts and Robust Radish Mix
On Aug. 22, Everything Sprouts, LLC. announced a recall on certain lots of Alfalfa Sprouts because they have the potential to be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli(STEC) or Salmonella.
The recalled alfalfa sprouts were distributed to wholesale distributors and grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. To date, 55 reports of illnesses have been received by federal and state partners related to alfalfa sprouts.
The Everything Sprouts and Calco branded Alfalfa Sprouts were packaged in individual five-ounce plastic containers bearing the following bar codes: 860014523113, 860014523120, and 850079470149. The Alfalfa Sprout products subject to this recall include packages with the following lot numbers: 222, 223, 225, 226, and 230. These same alfalfa sprouts were also used in Everything Sprouts Crunchy Protein Sprout Mix five-ounce cups (lot numbers: 222, 223, 226, and 230) and the Zesty Garlic Mix cups (lot numbers: 222, 223, 225, 226, and 230).
On Aug. 29, Everything Sprouts’ voluntary recall expanded to include certain lots of Robust Radish Sprout Mix because they also have the potential to be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) or Salmonella bacteria.
The recalled sprout mix was also distributed to wholesale distributors and grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The recall includes Robust Radish Mix packaged in five-ounce cups with barcode 087906000075 and lot numbers: 223, 226, 230, and 233.
Cuisinart Metal Wire Bristle Grill Brushes
On Aug. 27, the CPSC expanded a July recall of Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes to include more than 3.6 million products. The recalled grill brushes contain metal wire bristles that can detach, then stick to the grill and grilled food, “posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery,” according to the recall announcement.
The brushes were sold from June 2009 through March 2026 at major retailers, including Walmart, Burlington, TJ Maxx, and Ross, as well as online through Amazon and Cuisinart’s website.
This recall expansion involves Cuisinart metal wire bristle grill brushes with black plastic, stainless steel, and wood handles. The following model numbers were previously recalled and can be found on the product packaging: CCB-100, CCB-4125, CCB-5014, CCB-6450, CCB-8012, CCB-4114, CCB-W2, and CSBS-777. The following model numbers are part of this recall expansion: CGWM-024, CGWM-059, FCB-501, CGS-W18, CCB-134, CGWM-061, CB-395, CCB-3001, CGWM-077, CGWM-058, CCB-012/021, CGWM-060, and FBH-51.
In addition to these models, additional Cuisinart brand wire bristle brushes were sold individually and in sets prior to 2020. All Cuisinart wire bristle grill brushes are included in the recall.

Northwest Naturals Frozen Chicken Recipe
Northwest Naturals is voluntarily recalling two frozen pet food products due to due to Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes contamination. In routine testing by the FDA, Northwest Naturals Frozen Chicken Recipe tested positive for Salmonella while the Northwest Naturals Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken Recipe tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella.
53 cases (1,272 pounds) of Northwest Naturals Frozen Chicken Recipe cat and dog food and 19 cases (684 pounds) of Northwest Naturals Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken Recipe have been recalled.
Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes can sicken animals through contaminated food, and there is risk to people from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they do not thoroughly wash their hands after handling the contaminated food or any surfaces exposed to contaminated products.
The recalled pet foods were distributed to retail stores nationwide. The affected products can be identified by the following information:
