Dr. Richard Allen is a co-founder of Destination Wellness Center with his wife, Michelle Gursky Allen MS, RD, CDN.

Destination Wellness Center in Manalapan NJ offers a unique approach to Chiropractic Care. The office provides a spa like environment, where patients can be treated and relax.

Destination Wellness Center offers Chiropractic, Myofascial Treatments, Physical Therapy Procedures, Acupuncture, Nutritional Counseling by a Registered Dietitian, and Psychological services.  Destination Wellness Center offers private treatment areas with one on one sessions and little to no wait times.  Destination Wellness Center diffuses essential oils throughout the office to help give the perfect wellness spa experience.

Dr. Allen graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2002 and has owned offices in both New York City and New Jersey before opening Destination Wellness Center.  Michelle graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelors degree in biology. She obtained a masters degree in nutrition science from Syracuse University, and became a Registered Dietitian (RD) after completing the dietetic internship at UMDNJ.  Their mission is to use their expertise to help the community, in a warm, relaxing, spa like environment.

Dr. Allen is Webster Technique Certified which helps him to care for the spines and peripheral joints of expecting mothers.  Dr. Allen loves to align young spines as well.  Dr. Allen has 3 children and corrected spinal alignment for all 3 on the day they were born and continues to optimize their spine and nervous system regularly.

Dr. Allen utilizes an integrative mixture of Chiropractic Adjustments, physical therapy procedures, therapeutic stretching, myofascial treatments, and exercise rehab to help his patients strive toward optimal whole-body health and optimal function.  Dr. Allen helps people who suffer from:

Michelle specializes in nutrition counseling for eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder), disordered eating, emotional eating and weight management (including weight loss, gain and maintenance).

Acupuncture is provided by a licensed acupuncturist for a wide variety of conditions such as back pain, neck tension, joint pain, migraines, digestive complaints, respiratory conditions and can also relieve stress and anxiety.

Psychological counseling is provided by a licensed psychologist for eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder), as well as anxiety and depression.

Dr. Richard L Allen graduated in July 2002 from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York, and completed his residency at New York Chiropractic College’s Levittown Facility in Levittown, NY. During his residency he also became certified as a Personal Trainer and worked for several different New York Sports Clubs in New York and New Jersey. Upon receiving his license as a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Allen worked as an associate Chiropractor in various parts of New York City and New Jersey.
