Dr. Karl Kado is a foot and ankle surgeon at Curalta Foot & Ankle in Tinton Falls New Jersey. Dr. Karl has been practicing for over 30 years.

Dr. Karl Kado is a graduate of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, as well as his Masters of Science degree.  He completed a two-year comprehensive residency program at Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center in Secaucus, NJ.  His training included hundreds of foot and ankle surgeries, with special emphasis on advanced procedures for Bunion and Hammertoe repair and Ankle Arthroscopy.  Dr. Kado is very experienced in sports medicine and treats many runners and athletes.  He is actively involved in physical fitness and has the personal understanding of the needs of an athletic individual.  He treats patients with caring and concern but uses all the knowledge he has attained over the past thirty-plus years in practice.

Dr. Kado attends Podiatric Medical seminars each year as part of continuing medical education to keep himself knowledgeable regarding advances in his field of medicine.  He is certified in Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), which is an innovative, in-office, non-invasive treatment modality for patients suffering from chronic heel and arch pain.  Recently, Dr. Kado has been using amniotic tissue injections for the treatment of difficult cases involving arthritis and tendonitis.

Dr. Kado is also Medicare-approved to dispense Extra Depth shoes with custom and heat-molded inserts for all Diabetic patients who qualify.  Diabetic foot care is an important part of this practice including teaching Diabetic patients about the importance of proper foot care for long-term health.
