Dr. Tavares is a chiropractic physician focusing on spine and sports injuries. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist providing him additional resources to help rehabilitate your injury. Dr. Tavares, DC, is passionate about the role that holistic and integrative medicine plays in transforming lives.

Dr. Tavares has extensive experience working in partnership with medical professionals. He’s worked in urgent and rehabilitative care, held leadership roles in nonsurgical care, and served as medical staff for various medical facilities. He is currently on staff at Allegra Orthopedic Associates in Hazlet NJ.

Among his areas of specialty are hip pain, scoliosis, active release techniques, and stress management.

Dr. Tavares is devoted to ensuring the longevity of his patients’ health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. He takes his time to understand symptoms and give correct diagnoses to ensure the continued health of all his patients.

Dr. Tavares has practiced at numerous well-established medical institutions such as the Hartford Medical Group, an affiliate of Hartford Hospital, and The Spine Center of the Northeast. He was also part of the Athlete Medical Team at Dew Actions Pro Sports Tour in 2007 & 2008.

Dr. Tavares began his studies at Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry. He went on to complete his chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls.

He is a member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors and the North American Spine Society.
