Services

GENERAL SURGERY

For nearly two decades, patients have entrusted their surgical care to JSASA. Our general surgeons perform open, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery.

WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY

Weight Loss Surgery includes Sleeve Gastrectomy and Lap-Band Surgery. Most people can and do lose weight using more traditional methods of diet and exercise. But when such weight loss methods fail and your weight puts your health at great risk, weight loss surgery may an option. There are different types of weight loss surgery and different approaches. Two of the most common weight loss procedures we perform are sleeve gastrectomy and lap-band surgery.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY

Surgery is often an effective treatment for abdominal and GI conditions, but traditional open surgery with a large incision is highly invasive. Fortunately, there are minimally invasive surgery options. The most common is laparoscopic surgery (laparoscopy). Surgeons make a few small incisions and insert a tiny camera and long-handled instruments to reach inside your abdomen. The camera transmits images onto a video monitor in the operating room to guide surgeons as they operate. Then there is robotic surgery.

ROBOTIC SURGERY

da Vinci Surgery is another minimally invasive option for patients facing abdominal or gastrointestinal surgery. Instead of a large abdominal incision, da Vinci surgeons make a few small incisions similar to traditional laparoscopy. However, da Vinci features a magnified, 3D, high-definition vision system and special wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater and more precisely than a human wrist. As a result, your da Vinci general surgeon can operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity, and control.

At JSASA we use State-of-the-art da Vinci, offering the latest in surgical and robotic technologies and is beneficial for performing complex surgeries.
