Wondering, how does it work and if you are a good candidate?
First, the patient receives a microneedling treatment where the skin receives controlled, superficial injuries (don’t worry, this doesn’t damage the outer layer!) causing the body to release cells to generate new tissue resulting in fewer scars and signs of aging.
Like PRP, PRF comes from the patient’s blood and promotes healing and collagen production. PRF is superior to PRP in several ways. PRP contains chemicals and anticoagulants, whereas PRF is entirely natural. The absence of these chemicals in PRF permits the fibrin scaffolding to form spontaneously, allowing the growth factors to gently release into the skin.
When we apply PRF to the patient’s skin after microneedling, this potent solution can penetrate the deeper layers of the skin through the channels the microneedling created.
The total treatment time should take about one hour. There’s minimal downtime, and results, including restored volume, are long-lasting.
