Wendy Yecies, is a licensed social worker at Family Psychiatry and Therapy. Wendy strives to create a safe, supportive, engaging, and nurturing environment for each client. Wendy utilizes both solution focused and insight-oriented therapy, applying principles largely from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She believes in treating the whole client.
She specializes in treating teens and young adults. Her broad clinical experience includes treatment of eating disorders, self harm behaviors, and addiction, as well adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, mood disorders, family conflict, impulsivity, and difficult life transition. As a mother of three, Wendy has both personal and professional experience with managing the every day challenges of parenting and balancing family, work, and social commitments.
Wendy utilizes both solution focused and insight-oriented therapy, applying principles largely from CBT and DBT. She believes in treating the whole client, and welcomes collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and nutritionists to ensure comprehensive care.
