Bonnie J. Gorscak, Ph.D. has more than 30 years in the mental health field, Dr. Bonnie Gorscak has provided compassionate, effective counseling and therapy for adults presenting with a variety of personal and relationship struggles — grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and communication challenges. Dr. Gorscak is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where she has worked with adults in private practice and in research settings for more than two decades.

At The Center for Complicated Grief at Columbia University,  where she has served as a certified complicated grief therapist and as the Senior Trainer, Dr. Gorscak has trained and supervised hundreds of professionals in an evidence-based treatment for complicated grief and grief-related difficulties.

She is also certified in Relationship Enhancement Couples therapy, a communication skills-based approach to assist couples in addressing and successfully navigating relationship conflicts and enhance couples’ strengths and intrinsic motivation to have a more fulfilling and rewarding connection.

Dr. Gorscak has presented at conferences and workshops nationally and internationally. She is the co-author of several journal articles and chapters and, with Allan Zuckoff, PhD, a book for people seeking to unlock their own capacity for positive action, Finding Your Way to Change: How the Power of Motivational Interviewing Can Reveal What You Want and Help You Get There.
