As painful as it has been thankfully the year 2020 is coming to a close. For most it cannot come soon enough. Admittedly, it has been quite the year and one that we will surely remember.
Being a Senior, we think that we have seen it all. We have lived through some great times and some dreadful times, but this has got to go down as truly an incredible time. An unexpected Pandemic that early in the year began to attack us, e specially those in our Senior population. This brutal attack placed fear Worldwide in a battle for survival from Covid 19.
However, there is good news as we move forward into 2021. Thanks to the efforts of our scientists, pharmaceutical companies and medical professionals under the guise of the current Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed we now seem to have not one but multiple vaccinations being made available.
This should not go un-noticed, as the fact that we have seen the development of these anti-Covid 19 vaccinations occur in record breaking nine-month timeline. This is amazing fact is truly unheard of.
Yes, we have lost too many to this horrible virus, but finding what many believe to be a cure has been remarkable.
However, most medical professionals would suggest that it really makes sense to abide by the established Covid 19 regulations including wearing a mask, keeping socialdistancing, and washing your hands. These actions can greatly assist in limiting the spread of this virus until we all receive the inoculation. I am sure that your friends, fellow workers, neighbors and family will appreciate your participation.
So, with fingers crossed we now move into the year 2021.
Whether you are pleased with the November 3rd election results or not, we really should move forward with our lives. Who would have thought that our Presidential Election would be affected by Covid 19? Hopefully, our elected officials will be smart enough to spend the required time to straighten out the voting by mail process. We all know this desperately needs fixing.
I feel it is imperative that we recognize all those very brave front-line Medical Professionals. Our heroic Doctors, Nurses, Rescue an d their support staff who really demonstrated what they are made of and how profoundly grateful we are for all they do. Thank you.
We are a nation with the ability to adapt. And until we can get through this which we will, let us do everything we can to control this, so we can all come out of this better than ever.
